## About the Role
Apple is hiring a Software Engineer (Data) for its Ad Delivery organization in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building large-scale data and ad-delivery systems that process high-volume workloads with strong requirements around scalability, reliability, and performance. Apple Ads technology supports advertising experiences across Apple services while maintaining a strong focus on privacy and quality.
## Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data and ad-delivery systems.
- Build high-throughput data pipelines and real-time data processing solutions.
- Develop scalable distributed services using Java, Scala, or similar technologies.
- Work with technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, and cloud infrastructure.
- Design systems capable of processing large volumes of data with low latency.
- Develop and optimize microservices and distributed applications.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver reliable advertising technology.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
## Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming experience in Java, Scala, or Python.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience building large-scale data processing or data engineering systems.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark/Spark Streaming, Kafka, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Strong SQL and database fundamentals, including experience with NoSQL systems.
- Experience developing scalable microservices and backend systems.
- Strong understanding of performance, reliability, and scalability engineering.
- Experience working in Linux-based development environments.
## Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Kubernetes and Docker experience.
- Experience with real-time advertising, recommendation, bidding, or personalization systems.
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
- Experience with privacy-sensitive data platforms.
- Strong background in system architecture and technical leadership.
